Using Our Coffee with Reusable K-Cup Pods

We know that everyone has their favorite brewing method, and we’re here to help you make the perfect cup no matter how you brew.  If you’re using a reusable K-Cup pod with our ground coffee, here are some tips to ensure a bold and flavorful brew:

  1. Grind Size Matters: Our ground coffee is optimized for drip machines. For the best results in a reusable K-Cup, a finer grind is often needed. If possible, grind your beans slightly finer than drip coffee (similar to table salt).
  2. Fill It Up: Reusable K-Cups typically hold 10-12 grams of coffee. Use a kitchen scale or tablespoon to ensure you’re adding enough coffee for a robust cup.
  3. Adjust Your Water Amount: If the coffee tastes weak, reduce the amount of water per cup. A 1:14 coffee-to-water ratio works well for most single-serve brewing systems.
  4. Tamp Gently: Lightly tamp the coffee in the pod for a more even extraction—but avoid overpacking, as this can block water flow.

Pro Tip: For the freshest and best-tasting coffee, consider our Whole Bean option and grind to your preferred size right before brewing.
